Audio Conversion

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

I would like to transfer songs from my computer to my phone so I can listen to music even when I’m not in the house. However, my phone only supports audio in MP3 format but all my audio files are in WAV and MOD. It’s a good thing I found a Total Audio Converter. This converter can convert any audio format into MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGC, WMA, MP4, and more. I can even convert an entire audio folder with just a click.

I can also copy all my CDs in my computer, convert them to MP3 then transfer it to my mobile phone or iPod. The conversion is so easy that I didn’t really have to know a lot about computer softwares or read the instructions thoroughly. One good thing about audio converters is that you can also use it as your audio player.

Ways to Save Money

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

In these hard times, it is important to think and find ways to save money not just in our homes but also in our office. Avoiding wasting company resources and recycling are among the simplest ways to save. For example, making sure that you print only the important pages of a document or editing your document first to make sure it is absolutely correct will help you save both on paper and printer ink. You can also just have documents photocopied instead of printing multiple copies.

Look for bargains. With the growing competition, a lot of companies will definitely try to give you the best deals they have. Some suppliers could just be getting their products from another supplier making their price a bit higher. If you need to buy a toner, for example, try to find a supplier that gets it directly from the manufacturer.

If you are just printing something for referrence, you can use the draft mode when printing so you don’t consume as much ink.

Recycle papers. Use the other side of the bond paper for your notes, or for printing some materials for reading purposes only.

These things may seem trivial and the effect on your office cost may not be that much. But if you are spending around $2000 in your paper and ink per year, lowering it to about $1800 can still be good.

Invest in your Future

Through experience, I know that education is very important in career advancement. People who wants to be promoted should at least get a Masters degree. There are also cases when your company sends you to school to improve your knowledge and prepare you for a new project. Or, it can also be that you want to have a better job than what you have now that is why you want to have a diploma. However, I also know that it is hard to combine working and studying. All the pressure of work – deadlines, research, a difficult boss or collleague perhaps is hard to mix with the pressure of studying. You will definitely need a great skill in time management so you won’t have to sacrifice your work for the sake of your studies, or vice versa. There a now a lot of schools offering good education that suits your schedule. One school that I came across with is the Gibbs College in Livingston, New Jersey. You can visit the website.

Gibbs College has certificate programs on medical assisting, visual communications, accounting concentration, marketing concentration, and a lot more. Courses that will surely help you get a better job. One good thing about this college is their financial aid. They grant student loans or grants to help you in your college expenses.
