Self-Expression
Self-expression can take many forms. Some express themselves through writing, speaking or by just keeping silent. Yet, among the most visible forms of self-expression is through fashion. The clothes and accessories we wear, our hairstyle gives people a glimpse of our personality and thoughts. A person wearing suits all the time can be perceived as a rather reserved, perhaps, even intelligent. A person wearing whatever is in or starts trends can be labelled as a fashionista or trendsetter. Young people who wears urban clothes and bling blings are most likely into hip-hop music and black culture. Tattered jeans, Tattoos, and black printed shirt are for rockstars and punks.
No matter what clothes you wear, it is important to keep in mind that people think that “you are what you wear”. Posh, punk, reserved - everything is a means of expressing one’s self.
