Milk Helps Lower Blood Pressure
Recent studies show that drinking about 3 and a half servings of milk or other dairy products daily helps lower systolic pressure. According to the study, drinking milk or eating the said minimum amount of dairy products for over a year helps lower systolic pressure by more than three points. Three points may be considered a small amount but it can already make a lot of difference.
Additional studies are necessary to narrow down which nutrients are responsible for the drop. However, evidence shows that potassium helps lower blood pressure.
