In these hard times, it is important to think and find ways to save money not just in our homes but also in our office. Avoiding wasting company resources and recycling are among the simplest ways to save. For example, making sure that you print only the important pages of a document or editing your document first to make sure it is absolutely correct will help you save both on paper and printer ink. You can also just have documents photocopied instead of printing multiple copies.

Look for bargains. With the growing competition, a lot of companies will definitely try to give you the best deals they have. Some suppliers could just be getting their products from another supplier making their price a bit higher. If you need to buy a toner, for example, try to find a supplier that gets it directly from the manufacturer.

If you are just printing something for referrence, you can use the draft mode when printing so you don’t consume as much ink.

Recycle papers. Use the other side of the bond paper for your notes, or for printing some materials for reading purposes only.

These things may seem trivial and the effect on your office cost may not be that much. But if you are spending around $2000 in your paper and ink per year, lowering it to about $1800 can still be good.
