Brisbane is named after Sir Thomas Brisbane who was the Governor of New South Wales from 1821-1825. The city is located in the southeast corner of Queensland, Australia. The greater region lies in the coastal plain east of th Great Dividing Range. Brisbane’s popular destinations include South Bank Parklands, Roma Street Parkland, Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, and the Mount Coot-tha state forest.
